The main motif in Katarzyna Karbownik-Urbańska's works is the nature of woman. Her changeability and duality. Discovery and concealment, passion and innocence all in one. The attraction of opposites is even exposed by the artist in the color schemes of her glass, in which fiery orange is offset by cool blue.

KATARZYNA KARBOWNIK-URBAŃSKA

Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw (Ceramics and Glass Department), 1998. Graduated with honours from Ludwik Kiczura's studio. She has participated in over 30 solo and group exhibitions.
She runs a glass art studio devoted to her own works in Niedźwiedzica, at the foot of the Owl Mountains.
