Since the 1960s, an institution extremely important for sculptors has been operating in Orońsko near Radom, serving as a museum and exhibition, workshop and educational centre – the Centre of Polish Sculpture. Since 2008, the Centre has been organizing plein air ceramic sculpture workshops, enabling the artists from different countries, working on a daily basis in various techniques and styles, to confront their experience, skills, views on art. The results are the exhibitions of works created during the workshops, presented in galleries all over Poland.

The Lipowa 3 Gallery is now hosting an exhibition of the 7^th International Ceramic Workshop that was held in Orońsko in 2014. Five people, five creative individuals, five different artistic attitudes. One material. The resulting works are full of expression and exhibiting a variety of techniques – chamotte mass, firing raku ware in the kiln, glazing. Tiny and large-size compositions, completely abstract and figurative ones. Each of the works is the result of not only the talent of its creator and his or her technical skills, but also of the specific, artistic atmosphere of Orońsko.

Everyone who would like to get acquainted with the effects of the cooperation of Aleksandra and Bogusław Dobrowolski, Barbara Falender, Michal Kúšik and Jarosław Pajek are invited to Zabłocie in Krakow to visit the LAB ORO exhibition.

Aleksandra Dobrowolska – graduate of the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw (honours degree in 1992.). A teacher in the Complex of Art School in Radom, where she conducts ceramics classes. She deals with unique ceramics and sculpture.

Bogusław Dobrowolski – graduate of the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass at the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw (1990). He is the head of the ceramics studio in the Centre of Polish Sculpture. A commissioner of the International Ceramics Workshop.

Barbara Falender – graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (honours degree in the sculpture studio of Jerzy Jarnuszkiewicz, 1962). A sculptor, a photographer, a stage designer. She works in various materials, mainly in stone and bronze.

Michal Kúšik – graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava (graduated in 2002), co-organizer of the International Ceramics Symposium of the Young in Zeleny Mlyn. A sculptor and a ceramist.

Jarosław Pajek – graduate of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. He defended his doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Sculpture and Intermedia, Academy of Fine Arts in Gdańsk. A sculptor and an employee of the Centre of Polish Sculpture
